I have just been going over these articles and trying to gage the
authenticity of different accounts. What really gets me is in the
Global Research articles is Mayor Nagin's behavior, including his
red-eyed rant about the CIA, his no-comment on the question of
police shooting Army Corps contractors (although no one from the
fifth estate has posed the question), and most notably to me, his
going out on a limb to draw on his `thermodynamic expertise' to
debunk the story that the water surge was not sufficient to breach
the levee.
"NEW ORLEANS MAYOR RAY NAGIN: That storm was so powerful and it
pushed so much water, there's no way anyone could have calculated
what levee to dynamite to have the kind of impact to save the French
Quarter."
Why is Nagin, a businessman recently entering public service, posing
as an expert on water power?

It seems that the turning off of water in N.O. and the enlistment of
Blackwater comes from Gov. Blanco, who we would surmise is a front
for a bipartisan racist establishment. Who knows how many people
died because of the turning off of water, which was not caused by
the storm.
Rove's memo (NYTimes) to blame the Dems for all this is a cross
section for how he functions in this age of politics... no one wants
Bush to get off the hook politically for this, as he shouldn't,
which colors the way people look at the big picture.
Bush and the GOP House is paying a political price, finally, and
black activism, as in the case of South Africa, is doing its part to
keep some from having their cake etc, but the most disturbing
development apart from the deaths and extreme suffering that we are
used to seeing inflicted on people in the throes of CIA intrigue
abroad here is the unceremonious removal from official history of
the posse comitatus laws. What official newspaper has invoked them?
Also, the determination suggested here in paying a political price
to reconfigure N.O. suggests an almost mystical sentiment for the
town. Why don't the Gulf Coast spooks just move to Gaveston if they
think there are too many muggings in New Orleans? It is good for
Gaveston, I suppose, that this doesn't happen... New Orleans will
figure in Daniel Hopsicker videos for years to come.

Orleans later reported that his policemen had shot at eight
suspicious people near the breached levee, killing five or six.

The government, through some media, is utilizing scare tactics to
cleanse New Orleans of all Blacks. They want no witnesses and this

tactic is calling the flood water "a horrid toxic soup of feces a
rotting flesh of corpses". The military thugs are now getting tough
with Black families that have owned their old but beloved homes for
many generations. Mr. Rufus Johnson, a family patriarch who lives in
the French Quarter, said in an interview, "The army has given me an
ultimatum to leave or suffer the consequences of a forced eviction.
I do not understand . My entire family and I survived Katrina and
now they want to throw me out of the home we have had for
generations". Mr. Johnson lives in a neighborhood where the flood
has subsided and his home is not heavily damaged yet FEMA wants him
out!

contracts to "reconstruct a New Orleans". Deals are already being

by Black families. Whites throughout history have been
notorious "land grabbers". In the USA they first confiscated land
that belonged to American Indians. Most of the Indians ended up in
worthless tracts of land called "reservations". The largest "land
grab", however, was the theft of Aztlan. This occurred soon after
the Mexican-American War. In Alta California , vast "Ranchos" were
stolen from the Californios through a variety of scams. A favorite
ploy was to impose extremely heavy land taxes on the Mexicans and
then foreclosing on the properties. The land was then given or sold
at very low prices to the Forty Niners who came in large hordes to
Alta California during the so called "Gold Rush" of 1849.
