I ran into the following problem.
Setup:
- CIFS server (b117) joined workgroup WG
- edited /etc/pam.conf and added two users
u1 and u2
- setup share with appropriate case sensitifity,
ACL inheritance, ...
- checked access with XP clients with up-to-date
patches; works as expected
No I create a file in one of the subdirectories, right-click on it
getting through properties to the security tab. The plan is to add full
permissions to the other user. So
properties -> security -> add -> advanced -> find now
After revalidation of my username the list of available users and groups
appear. After picking the user Windows complains with
"Unable to lookup username for display"
Adding a UNIX group, non of the built in ones, works.
Any hints about how to add local UNIX users to ACLs?
