Ok. An interesting spin on this. I ran these two commands, and now idmap dump shows a bunch of GID's and a couple of UID's (outside of the default UIDs).
svccfg -s idmap setprop config/unresolvable_sid_mapping = boolean: true svcadm refresh idmap I still get the LDAP bind messages and idmap show -cv still says No AD Server. So where are these SID's coming from? I still cannot get my CIFS shares to work even with these new found SID's either.
