MAKKAH, 27 March 2007 - The Reconciliation Committee in the Makkah region
is set to establish a women's section to handle and solve family problems, said
Naser ibn Misfer Al-Zahrani, executive manager of the Makkah-based organization.

Al-Zahrani said the women's section is being opened in the Aziziah
district under the directives of Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed, who has
stressed the importance of the role of women in achieving the goals of the
committee.

"There is a need for women to deal and interact with women who are
suffering from domestic problems," said Al-Zahrani, adding that the women who
will work at the section are distinguished preachers, educationists and
sociologists.

"The women's section will be equipped with everything needed for the
women to do their job properly. It has a hall, offices and a library with
useful books that specialize in domestic problems," he said.

Ali ibn Bakheet, deputy executive manager of the committee, said the new
section would run religious courses to discuss family issues such as divorce.
