Letter from President al-Assad to Indonesian President Delivered by
al-Mikdad

Jakarta, (SANA) - President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono received
on Tuesday a letter from President Bashar al-Assad on the bilateral relations
between the two countries and means for bolstering them, in addition to
reviewing regional developments and Syria's stances regarding them.
The letter was delivered by Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Fayssal al-Mikdad
during his meeting with the Indonesian President, who expressed agreement with
Syria's viewpoints regarding developments in the Middle Ease and voiced full
support to her efforts to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the region,
underlining Syria's positive and integral role.
President Yudhoyono also affirmed his interest in improving relations and
increasing communications with Syria, renewing his invitation to President
al-Assad to visit Indonesia.
The meeting was attended by Syria's Ambassador in Jakarta Mohammad
Darwish Baladi.
