Nusakambangan Inmates Waiting For Execution Monday, 23 February, 2009 | 11:36 WIB TEMPO Interactive, Semarang:As many as 65 inmates detained at Nusakambangan Penitentiary in Cilacap, Central Java, are still waiting for their execution. "Up until today, we don't know when the executions will take place," said Bambang Winahyo, Central Java Legal Office chief in charge of Penitentiaries, yesterday (22/2). According to Bambang, they have not been yet executed because they are still waiting for a revision, clemency, or other legal efforts. Bambang also said some of the inmates have been detained for 40 years but still have not been executed. Some of them are foreign citizens from 27 countries. ROFIUDDIN
