[CinCVS] Cinelerra slideshow error when mplexing rendered audio and video

I've got a really basic slideshow in Cinelerra, rendered to m2v and ac3. When I mplex the files:

 mplex -f 8 -o kidfun.mpg kidfun.ac3 kidfun.m2v

I get a string of sync errors:

The slideshow comes at the end of some home video I edited together. I can render and mplex that part of the project without error, but as soon as I add the still frames, mplex errors out. Any ideas?
