I agree with Herman on this issue. Cinelerra needs to do things cleanly, without using linux-specific hacks with pipes and scripts.
I've been around this mailing list for a month or so and while i've got cinelerra installed on my system, i'm still not using it. I'll wait for another month or so and if cinelerra doesn't do proper DVD compatible output then i'll continue using Windoze and Pinnacle Studio.
