i don't know if i commented. This is good idea. you don't need on-off
button if this zoom is used at camera-level since you could get the
interlacing mode from asset.
The on-off button was going to be placed in Playback tab of the preferences. i.e. for backward compatibility people could turn the feature off...

 And i don't think this should be used on
the projector side, since there you could use deinterlacing first
anyway.

Though mathematically the solution isn't perfect... Acutally it is ok
only if you have intralced input, noninterlaced output.

If you have interlaced input, interlaced output, and do zoom inbetween,
than to make it accurate you should actually use two different y tables
depending on the odd/even status of the destination line - therefore
actually rendering separate ... but we can forget that for now. :)
I might finish the branch of then and commit it..(with a a default of "off" in the preferences until we've all played with it a bit)
