Hello Regis.

He may try to use the background rendering before playback.

By the way, It's true that if there is no mix, when the top track
fader is at 100, there should not be any performance loss. A developer
has to know if this is true or not.

Hello,

I've installed cinelerra for a friend. He loves this program he uses
for his job. But there is a problem with the playback: when he load
one video on the track1, the playback is fine (25 fps ). When he load
another video the track2, below the other one, the playback
performance drop to 9 fps. He often make fades betwen videos and this
is the way he found to do this. When he wants the video on track2
being visible, he puts track1 video fader to 0 for a while. when he
wants de track1 being visible again, he puts track1 video fader to
100.

It seems that even if the video fader of the track1 is at 100 (the
video in the track1 is visible, the video in the track2 is hide ),
cinelerra try to mix it with the video track2.

How can we avoid this problem? I believe there is a configuration
tip but I haven't found it.
  Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

 RG
