 Hmmm, does Imovie call these "thumbnails"?  The conventional terminology
for it is a "proxy".  Easy proxy editing has been on the wishlist for quite
some time, since HD video with formats like HDV is too slow without it.

 Proxies will certainly be integrated into Lumiera.  For Cinelerra, we'll 
see.  I certainly want it.  But I want it to be good, convenient and easy.
