High res playing slow means either your cpu or video aren't up to the task. I thought my transcode command produced output that was out-of-sync, but it turned out it was just the low-fps chop. Final product (NTSC DVD) synced up fine. Makes editing a little less fun. Probably time to learn about proxy editing.
