A little OT, but I'd say CsC and inter-AS MPLS (+VPN) is reasonably mature. MPLS has very good scalabilty and provisioning is easy compared to the manually based L2TPv3. (I may have misunderstood L2TPv3, and I assume there's no equivalent to MP-BGP and the VPNV4 address family.
