Hello, I'm using a 4506 as my core switch. This morning I noticed an issue with my line card 3:
Switch#sh module Chassis Type : WS-C4506 Power consumed by backplane : 0 Watts Mod Ports Card Type Model Serial No. ---+-----+--------------------------------------+------------------+----------- 1 2 Supervisor IV 1000BaseX (GBIC) WS-X4515 JAE0806XXXX 2 48 100BaseFX (FX-MT) WS-X4148-FX-MT JAB0808XXXX 3 48 1000BaseX (SFP) WS-X4448-GB-LX JAB0701XXXX 4 48 1000BaseX (SFP) WS-X4448-GB-LX JAB0734XXXX 5 24 10/100/1000BaseT (RJ45) WS-X4424-GB-RJ45 JAB0804XXXX 6 48 10/100/1000BaseT (RJ45) WS-X4448-GB-RJ45 JAB0803XXXX M MAC addresses Hw Fw Sw Status --+--------------------------------+---+------------+----------------+--------- 1 000f.34d3.9480 to 000f.34d3.9481 3.1 12.1(20r)EW1 12.2(25)EWA10 Ok 2 000f.34a5.dde0 to 000f.34a5.de0f 1.0 Ok 3 000b.be7d.5990 to 000b.be7d.59bf 2.0 Faulty 4 000d.bd8a.a130 to 000d.bd8a.a15f 2.1 Ok 5 000d.657c.fc60 to 000d.657c.fc77 1.5 Ok 6 000f.2319.7490 to 000f.2319.74bf 1.1 Ok None of the network devices attached to this line card seem to be affected in any way (yet?). How would I go about finding out what's wrong with it? Should I start looking for a replacement?
