Hmm... Yeah... Old switch...

FWIW, we connected the 3524 to another port on the 6509, and it works fine. i forgot mention that the module on the 6509 is a WS-X6348-RJ-45. We were in Fa3/2 when the probs happened. Now we're in Fa3/3 without probs. Ugh. Do you think bad port?

The OSs on the gear are as follows:

3524
c3500XL-c3h2s-mz-120.5.2-XU.bin

This software is even more antique than the switch itself - last
software version for the XLs is 12.0(5)WC17 from Jan 2008.  It could
be related to that...
