Later hwrevs of the 6724 could do it, but this got sloppily disabled with SXI 
-- "sh int <name> trans" would report that it was unsupported, but "sh int 
trans" still worked fine (as did the SNMP interfaces, IIRC). Not sure whether 
later SR trains picked it up.
