I suppose so, we've never bought the ASR1004 because I think 
that's just "tantalizing" one's self :-). We just always go 
for the ASR1006, as we can throw in an extra RP and have 
proper HA, not that complicated option with a 2nd IOS 
instance that eats up too much memory that crashes a box 
running any decent number of full BGP feeds.

However, the router will have labels as below (on the 
ASR1006 anyway, not so different from the ASR1006):

        o RP's are R0 - R1
        o ESP's are F0 - F1
        o SIP's are 0, 1, 2, e.t.c.
