Apologies, I'd omitted a comma, that should have read

(I'd just assumed that all new CLI driven features were going via FNF and
there was no point in asking about !FNF)

Being that the collector code in question is proprietary, I've a use case
which I've been discussing in some detail offlist (essentially, I want to
automatically group together the output of multiple exporters by this
field, I can't make the IP source the same for all of them). It all seems
sensible (though we need to iron out some of the details) so I'll be
submitting a PER for it in due course.
