The CF card was still not accepted.
I needed to boot into some older image, format the CF card in disk0 of the

Then needed to copy the files again via TFTP to CF, move the CF card to
the adapter and boot the image via rommon.



RAM on the Sup720's MSFC3 can be picky. I'd have to look it up to confirm, but at some point during the production of the MSFC3, Cisco changed RAM types it uses.

Have managed to fix 'broken' Sup720-3bxl boards that refuse to boot by swapping them to the older RAM types, and suddenly they are happy.
