All:

We are deploying VPLS within our network and a client is trying to run OSPF across it between two routers.

Here is a simplified diagram:

OSPF device <> 4948 <> 6500 <> 7600 <WAN> 7600 <> 6500 <> 4948 <> OSPF device

Both locations are identical (4948, 6500, 7600), but the 4948 in location A uplinks to a WS-X6848-SFP module with a DFC4 and the 4948 in location B uplinks to a WS-X6748-GE-TX module with a CFC. In this configuration, the customer seems the appropriate number of multicast packets on his A device, but few on his B device. OSPF does establish, but it keeps dropping.

If I move the uplink for the 4948 at location B from a WS-X6748-GE-TX to a WS-X6824-SFP with DFC4, OSPF is stable.

I have a Cisco TAC case open, but is anyone aware of issues with 6700-series cards and running VPLS services over them?

The supervisor in the 6500s is a Sup2T running 15.1(1)SY.
