Hi I've a port-channel (no LACP) config in this way on my 6509: ******************************************************************************* interface Port-channel11 description Te1/8,2/8 switchport switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q switchport trunk allowed vlan 1-3996,3999-4094 switchport mode trunk logging event link-status logging event trunk-status load-interval 30 end *******************************************************************************
I see the "Age of the port in the current state" of the second ten-giga link that seems up by few minutes... ******************************************************************************* #sh etherchannel 11 detail Group state = L2 Ports: 2 Maxports = 8 Port-channels: 1 Max Port-channels = 1 Protocol: - Minimum Links: 0 Ports in the group: ------------------- Port: Te1/8 ------------ Port state = Up Mstr In-Bndl Channel group = 11 Mode = On Gcchange = - Port-channel = Po11 GC = - Pseudo port-channel = Po11 Port index = 1 Load = 0x55 Protocol = - Age of the port in the current state: 202d:00h:21m:34s Port: Te2/8 ------------ Port state = Up Mstr In-Bndl Channel group = 11 Mode = On Gcchange = - Port-channel = Po11 GC = - Pseudo port-channel = Po11 Port index = 0 Load = 0xAA Protocol = - Age of the port in the current state: 0d:00h:03m:50s Port-channels in the group: ---------------------- Port-channel: Po11 ------------ Age of the Port-channel = 763d:05h:37m:56s Logical slot/port = 14/3 Number of ports = 2 GC = 0x00000000 HotStandBy port = null Port state = Port-channel Ag-Inuse Protocol = - Fast-switchover = disabled Load share deferral = disabled Ports in the Port-channel: Index Load Port EC state No of bits ------+------+------------+------------------+----------- 1 55 Te1/8 On 4 0 AA Te2/8 On 4 Time since last port bundled: 561d:05h:17m:53s Te1/8 Time since last port Un-bundled: 561d:05h:33m:21s Te1/8 Last applied Hash Distribution Algorithm: Fixed ******************************************************************************* The problem is that it doesn't refresh that timer... If I repeat the command after seconds, minutes, or days it remains the same, the only counter incrementing is for the bundle... Any idea why ? could it be a problem ? I sometimes experience L2 issues... On the opposite site of the port-channel the counter is about hundreds of days...
