Last I checked, this also meant creating the 'burnt in' reserved VLANs that are common on most Cisco Catalyst (for some oldskool reason), on your Huawei switches -- otherwise the hash just wouldn't match.

I've had Cisco 3560-X, Dell PC 6200 & 5400, and Brocade CES all happily elect separate roots for various instances by ensuring they have the 1001-1005 VLANs created (but un-used, obviously).
