"Edge" device for a customer: L3 Ints (~8-10) and a throughput of ~1Gbps. OSPF, BGP (<10,000 routes) + VRF support...no NAT, no Netflow, no IPSEC. My immediate thought was a 12 port ASR920....our Sales team flicked the same requirements spec to our Cisco AM, and they have recommended an ISR4451...I cant see an (obvious) need for an ISR....but have yet to touch an ASR920 yet, so feature-wise, It may be missing something? (But based on the very minimal requirements...i.e. L3, with OSPF/BGP, VRF and 1Gb throughput, and routes @ sub 10K, the ASR seems a much "cheaper" option vs an ISR4451).
