Good question. OpenView, Unicenter and Tivoli are the most widely "sold"
products, but as far as what's actually in "use", that's a far different
question. I heard from one vendor that roughly 70% of the NMS packages sold
today are never used, or are only minimally used.
I think you'll see a continued trend toward outsourced network management
systems. One good example is Silverback Networks. For less than the cost
of one body to run your NMS, they'll provide an outsourced, fully managed
NMS service.
You'll start to see the same approach in the policy networking space,
already Smartpipes is heading down that path.
OTOH, there's also MRTG, a nice freeware package for basic network
management.

Subject: Network Management Softwares
Hello,
I just finish CCNA and am curious to know what network management software
is in wide use. Openview? CiscoWorks? Other names I may not have heard of?
Thanks for your inputs.
