I am guessing that in this case WORD is the name of a device. What you
report does not exactly jibe with the command reference for IOS 12.1
connect
To log in to a host that supports Telnet, rlogin, or LAT, use the connect
command in EXEC mode.
connect host [port] [keyword]
I did not check any other IOS version.
