Known Problems and Limitations This section describes known problems and limitations in Cisco IOS for S/390 Version 1.0. Multicast is not supported within the Cisco IOS for S/390 Fault Tolerant feature. Files to be accessed by OpenEdition must reside within the hierarchical file system (HFS). To move files from a remote system to the HFS requires two steps. Two JCL streams, OPUT and OGET, are provided in the CNTL library as examples of how this can be accomplished using MVS batch jobs. Users with socket applications that use non-blocking I/O and check for either EWOULDBLOCK or EAGAIN errno values should consider modifying their applications to check for both. Cisco IOS for S/390 returns EWOULDBLOCK to provide compatibility with IBM TCP/IP for MVS. Some non-MVS socket implementations may return EAGAIN as specified in POSIX documents. Check for both to ensure maximum portability. The MAXSTGPCT parameter of IFSPARM in member IJTCFG00 controls TCP connections only. This parameter does not currently support UDP and RAW protocol connections. During installation of the Cisco IOS for S/390 Version 1.0 base product on systems using IBM's Binder at DFSMS level 1.3.0, the following error may occur: IEW2292E B403 OPTION VALUE MISSING OR INVALID FOR OPTION name To avoid this error, apply IBM PTF UW26269 prior to installation.
