No, you can have usually 256 vpi's per wire but theoretically you can have
more in an NNI connection (i don't know a switch that can handle more
though) This is how you set up SPVPs inside a PVC thereby creating an "svc"
inside a PVC (which is what almost all the major telco's who offer svc
services are doing).
