I have been looking for a way to filter out NetBEUI & IPX from propogating across bridged interfaces. Scenario: 8 - ISL VLANs & 10 - Remote (T1) sites with routed IP and Bridged LAT traffic. Bridging is enabled for the LAT traffic, however, there are a few IPX servers which traffic does not need to be seen on any other nets. The customer also doesn't beleive in removing the extraneous protocols that new machines ship with (NETBEUI & IPX/SPX) - they say too many machines to re-configure. I have attached a protocol analyzer to all VLANs and there is rogue traffic / protocols propogating on the LANs. I want to be able to filter IPX and NetBEUI from leaving the interfaces / LANs they originate from (bridged) while permitting LAT / DEC traffic. I figured the best way was with an Access-List 2xx or trying to tunnel, however, I am having trouble finding the appropriate type codes. thanx, ________________________________________________ #1 Rule of Networks: It Has To Work!!!
