When you staticly map a network layer address to a dlci and reload your
router, that mapping (sh fram map) should only show up as static, not
dynamic. On the router reload, the static mapping overrides the routers need
to ARP for that protocol on that specific dlci. Are you sure that you mapped
the addresses correctly? Did you forget to add a static mapping for a
specific protocol? Multiple protocols? In almost all cases, you want to
staticly map everything down so that you know exactly where your protocols
are being mapped. This is good practice for the CCIE lab.
