Subject: Re: CID retiring???

To my knowledge Cisco has no plans to retire CID. In
fact, it is likely that this exam will become more
important with the CCIE Design track. Normally Cisco
takes about six months from the announcement of a beta
to retire a test, so (presumably) we're looking at the
current test until 2001. Note, the current test
objectives are dated and based on course materials
from 1997, so it would be a good idea to prepare for
the exam outside of 'current' activities.
