i'm second to this opinion
i took class for ccna1 & when 2beta was avail tried &
passed it
the only major differen i can see - a lots off vlan
related questions
if you ready to ver1, study more vlans & you'll be ok
with ver2 which hopefuly won't retire any soon

Why do you want the CCNA certification?  Are you
working or going to be
working in the networking arena?  If not, my
suggestion is don't take the
test because it will just be another piece of paper
hanging on your wall and
i think that's what most of us would rather not see
happen.  Or maybe it's
too late for that...
 
On the other hand, if you're serious about becoming
involved in networking,
take the 2.0.  You'll find the basics are not that
different.  I recommend
Todd Lammle's CCNA book from Sybex.  ISBN: 0782123813.
 
 
Understand the osi model well...
