In The UK you can rent a 4 Pair Copper wire from the Local Telephone Exchange. You can then Put a DSL Modem at each end and Pump 2Mbs Data Down It. This can Be an Extremely Cheap way of Connecting Campus Networks as all you Pay is �400 per year rental. The Only Limitation is that Both offices must be in the same Exchange area and there is a Distance Limitation of 12 Kilometers. I Dont Know if this is the Same In USA.
