I am having trouble with an IMA card plugged into a Cisco 3640 Router. The IMA card has 8 ports for T1 connection then creates a logical ATM interface to connect to Telco. My customer's site has run fine with two T1's in the IMA group and consistently seen 3MBS. Four months ago this site upgraded to four T1's and has not seen the full 6MBS or even close enough to argue. Here is the basic layout: ISP Router DS3 <---> ATM Cloud <---> Telco's Newbridge with IMA Card <---> 4 T1's terminate at customer premise. The problem is that I still can't push more than 3.5Mb through this connection. I have checked the following so far: - CBR rate in Telco's cloud is set to 6Mbs - Far end router utilization and other customers off the DS3. - 0% errors on each individual T1 at the customers site to the smartjack. - Telco ran clean to the CO from each smart jack from the site. - I even to a wild stab and upgraded the IOS in the router just to see what would change. (nothing of course did, that would be to easy in this case) - I did notice that while running at 3Mbs. I could unplug any two T1's and not see a change in bit rate. But if unplugging any three T1's I would see a consistant 1.544Mbs on each. My question: Is anyone out there successfully running this type of design. I am starting to wonder if the Cisco 3640 does not support what is offered in the Hardware Specifications.
