Hi,
I've implemented few firewall project using CheckPoint Firewall-1 lately
and it
seems that you can hardly get any technical support over here in Asia. All
the source of steps and SOE (standard operating environment) is there on
the web
at http://www.checkpoint.com
Typically whenever you purchase or download the software off the web, you
will be
entitle for a demo license key. However when you want to purchase a full
ver (or 25/50 and
so on user license), you have to submit along the details of the person who
use the firewall
such as Company name, contact person, designation, email, phone, address,
hardware specs,
OS platform, external IP and your subnet.
On the implementation wise, they depends on the policy of your organization
(like permit what
traffic to go through or deny them). I guess that's the overall idea of
checkpoint.
Heard that the prometric is getting the authorization from checkpoint and
offer the Checkpoint
firewall certification recently. Anyone working on that area?

Hi,
Sorry for posting out of topic msg on this list, but i
found that so many of this list members has the
working knowledge of checkpoint FW-1.
Can somebody guide to configure the fw-1 or send me
the links from where i can configure it.
Is there any tech. problem to have web server and fw1
on same mc.
