The new router is 2500 11.2(19), existing one is 3640, 11.3(5)T. Setup DHCP server and Tftp server one W2K. Under the Tftp directory create the configuration file for the new router and name it: router-confg. The Dhcp server has a range with only one ip address for the new router. So we know what the ip address the new router throught bootp. One the existing router's serial interface, configure 'ip helper address xxxx' pointing to the W2K. configure' frame-relay map ip x.x.x.x 201 b', where the x.x.x.x is the only ip address in the dhcp pool on the W2K for the new router. I installed cisco tftp server on W2K, do not know whether it is because of the W2K or something else, I have to open the Tftp server while the new router is sending the request for the new configuration file, if I open the tftp before the new router boots up, it does not work. Took me 2 hours to figure it out. Thanks Kent __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get Yahoo!
