Scott,

What type of switch ports are you connecting to, do they support channeling and
trunking.  A show port capabilites will tell you this, if so, turn trunking and
channeling off for these ports.

set trunk mod#/port# off
set port channel mod#/port# off

bpdu-guard enables a port to go into an errdisabled state for a period of time
if this port hears a BPDU.  This should never happen on a port with a
workstation attached.  Therefore it is a safe guard against cables being moved
around and inadvertantly causing a loop in the network.
