I passed CCNA (1.0) a week and a half ago.. I used Cisco's official training kit, Lammlle's book and Boson tests for drilling myself. I also used Sybex's e-trainer to get a feel for the system, since I don't have one I can play with at anything other than user mode. I want to thank everyone on this list for the anonymous help provided by people asking questions about training resources, tips, etc. While I lurk most of the time, I've been reading this list religiously for the past couple of months, and I'm sure I'll be here for a while I continue my Cisco education. Now it's just a matter of parlaying this and other experience into an non-helpdesk position. The company I work for does have a networking dept, but they have need for very low-level people that put in pre-configured routers (telecom techs put in everything else and the NOC center is outsourced) or very high level networking people, with nothing in between. So it'll be a matter of looking elsewhere for the career path I have chosen. Again, THANKS EVERYONE!!! -chris (If anyone is interested, I've been working in support positions for the past 3 years, and currently work in a large corporate helpdesk supporting everything from network issues to security to op systems to applications. I'm looking for a position that will allow me to apply the skills I've learned along with the new ones I have/am learning. A NOC center or Junior admin position would be perfect. Please email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] for more information. I'm willing to relocate for the right position as well) ___________________________________ UPDATED Posting Guidelines: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/guide.html FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
