Hi,
I am trying to establish dot1q trunking between Cat6506 and Cat3548 switches. As soon
as I connect these switches using a cross-over cable, the C3548 switch does not
recognise the packets coming from C6506.
First, I tried to configure ISL trunking in the Cat3548 switch using "switchport trunk
encapsulation isl" command in the interface configuration mode, it accepted the
command silently (mean without any error). But the line is missing in the
running-configuration. Note: Cat3548 is using IOS based software. Both the switches
are using the latest software versions.
How can I solve this issue?
