Hello, If RTA, RTB and RTC are in a FR multipoint config, with RTA in AS100 and RTB and RTC in AS200 with RTB peering with RTA and RTC, does the next-hop-self need to be set on RTB for BOTH RTA and RTC, IF BOTH RTA and RTC are advertising networks??
I definitely understand that if RTC were adverting 10.0.0.0/8, RTB would set itself as the next-hop-self for RTA to get to 10.0.0.0/8. Now if RTA also advertises netw. 20.0.0.0/8, would RTB need to be set as the next-hop-self for RTC to get to 20.0.0.0/8? Which basically means that RTB needs to be set as the next-hop-self for both RTA and RTC?? Now to add to this, if you are running an IGP for the networks that connect these 3 routers, if the next-hop-self even necessary? Please advise. Thank you. Sincerely, CN P.S. My Internet connection via Cox is down at this moment (thank you Cox..as usual) so I cannot get to my routers from work to try this out!! _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=66149&t=66149 -------------------------------------------------- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
