May find it very simple but could not find an accurate answer... Did not have a lab switch to try it out...
If i make a loopback (cross cable) connectivity between 2 ports within the switch. And having the STP enabled on the switch, what would be the status for the ports... I thought it is "one will be blocking and one will be forwarding". Is that a right statement ? What if the bridge will act as root bridge (according to theory, ports on the root bridge should be on forward mode) ? But then the loop would be there... Your advice is appreciated.
