You are wrong. Why would Bill and the lady who runs the CCIE lab testing include a whole chapter in the CCIE power session if it was excluded? Here are the topics that were discussed:
Catalyst Multi-layer Switching DLSWoE QOS IP Routing Concepts OSPF BGP ISIS Multicast ATM Security ISDN If anything IS-IS can be thought of as a sub-set of CLNS. Other topics that fall under CLNS include: ISO IGRP Dynamic Routing CLNS Static Routing IP over a CLNS Tunnel TARP Etc. Just because IS-IS uses a CLNS NSAP address doesn't mean you don't have to know it. What you are saying would be like if Cisco said there wasn't going to be any Token Ring in a switching class, and you assumed that you didn't have to learn VTP, because VTP v2 includes support for Token Ring...
