Ah, don't know exactly what to say.......

I'd love for someone to pay for me to take a 2 week lab to prepare for CCIE.
Definitely not a waste of time.

What you have to determine is "what are my employer's expectations".

After the course, are you expected to get the written done and then the lab
in short order?

You say the lab has a prerequisite of having the written. Obviously, since
you're considering taking it that requirement isn't enforced. (just an
excuse the trainer can use if you complain that you couldn't follow).

So, for me - since I would be paying I have only my expectations to live up
to.

Don't commit to anything that you don't think you can realistically deliver.

Otherwise - take the course!
