Its not a big deal how you pronounce as long as the listener get your point. Instead of going too far in pronunciations...just tell him/her the whole form such as:
TACACS: Terminal Access Controller Access Control System.
RADIUS: Remote Authentication Dial-in User Services.
PIX: Private Inetrnet Exchange.

Sorry to jump in your thread, but great question, there a number of
things I don't know how to pronounce. Rather sheepish when you're in
an interview and say you've been studying "x" and you pronounce it
wrong.
How about PIX firewall?
Is pronounced "PIX" or "P-I-X"? (if you get my meaning).
