I have heard that the CCIE written exam (only the written - not the lab) is
not significantly more difficult than the sum of the four CCNP exams and
that the bulk of the information needed to succeed in one is common to the
other. The Cisco web site seems to confirm this. If there are CCIEs or
CCIE candidates out there who completed CCNP first I would greatly
appreciate your thoughts on this.
