What does the ping reponse say when you ping from a DOS window?  I'm
guessing it says "request timed out," which would indicate to me that one of
the routers doesn't know how to get back to the subnet you're on.  Check
their routing tables.  The ping is probably getting to the remote server,
but it can't get back.
