Just connect the 25-pin null modem cable that came with your console kit to
your box and then use a straight through cable to your console port. I have
my lab set up like that at home. Then if I want to access it remotely I
telnet to my solaris box and use tip to connect to my routers. This gives
me a remote console connection and I can still use the ethernet on my
terminal server for something else.
