I have tried to erase the flash on a supervisor engine II on a cisco catalyst 5500, running Software Release 3.1. I have tried using all the required commands e.g. Format and Delete, The software does not seem to recognise this command. I even tried copying a new Software Release to the flash, it does say it is erasing flash, it successfully copies the file from TFTP to the flash and when the Switch is power cycled the old software release still exist and the new update is no where to be found. So is there a way I can erase my flash without having to use the Format, Squeeze or Delete command. **NOTE: New CCNA/CCDA List has been formed.
