Reading CCIE preparation books would be great ADDITIONAL preparation for
CCNP tests, and for increasing your overall Cisco knowledge. However,
let me point out that CCNP tests have very specific objectives and if
your goal is to pass those tests you'd better know the CCNP material as
a minimum.
