Hi there
Yes , I have changed the priority to the lowest of all the switches .
Set spanning-tree priority 30000
Then the cost is 0 for that switch .

Is there any other commands ?

Thx

The first thing I would do is to make sure that the 6509 in the
center of
the whole network is set as the root for all VLANS. This will help
        tremendously.

        Hi there gang
        A question plse....
We are busy installing a sizable switch network .
Loads of 35XX and one 6509 . Gig fibres running in a star topology
from the
        6509 to the 35XX's .
On some of the floors there are redundant UTP between the switches .
Spanning tree is on and igmp is enabled on the 6509 .

Why is there still loops & broadcast storms ? There is a load of IPX
& IP .
Topology changes seems to bog the 6509 down .
It even froze at stages .

Some advice or pointers would be very helpful .
Please include my email in your reply .

        Cheers
