No problem. It does not matter which of the two routers is the DCE side.
This has no effect whatsoever on the lab or its results.

This is a good opportunity for you to practice your documentation skills,
modify the configs to conform to your routersim setup, and proceed to the
more important thing, which is the behavior of OSPF and the virtual circuit.

Subject: Virtual Lab & Hutnik - Please help

I am configuring Virtual Links, Lab#30 on Hutnik's.
The routers I am using (SimRouter) has the following configuration:

E0{R1}------E0{R2}S0(DTE)-------S1(DCE) {R3}
Where {R1} and {R2} are in "Area0".

My problem here is that I would need S0 to provide clock (It should be DCE
to match the book configuration).

Do you know any workaround for that ? I configured S0 without clock
specification and 'show ip ospf virtual-links' shows state 'DOWN'.

Thanks much,

Ron
